Program Infomation

Master Program of Laws in Chinese and International Business Law (LLM-CIBL) at Xi’an Jiaotong University is the flagship international graduate program of the XJTU Law School. The program offers foreign students， especially foreign law students，and legal professionals a unique opportunity to study Chinese and international business and economic laws and legal processes at Xi'an, the heart of China. The program helps students gain sound knowledge in Chinese and international law focusing on business and economic laws and deep insights in Chinese society and culture, whilst cultivating the abilities and skills to professionally handle relevant practical legal problems.
This twelve months program contains taught courses and independent research and thesis writing. All courses are taught in English and the lecturers include our s elect faculty members and leading experts from public and private practice. An academic advisor will be assigned to each student to supervise his/her research and LL.M. thesis writing. We encourage students to write publishable dissertations.

Compulsory Courses: Comprehensive Chinese, The Outline of China, Chinese Contract Law, Chinese Civil Laws, Chinese Civil Procedure Law, Chinese Corporate and Bankruptcy Law, International Economic Law
Elective Courses: Chinese Foreign Trade and Investment Law, Chinese Intellectual Property Law, Chinese Constitutional and Administrative Law, Chinese Judicial System, Public International Law, Private International Law, International Dispute Settlement, Contemporary Legal Issues Seminars, etc.
